I Took The Body Of A Villain 04

4. The puppy that wanted to be a bird

“Are you leaving now?”

Manuela turned back in a familiar voice.

“Phonya.”

She stayed at the grand palace and was a middle-aged maid. She always had a blunt face, but she was a subtly friendly charm. The maids from the duke's residence were on the one hand packing their luggage and the other helping Manuela's clothing, so there wasn't anything inside the room. Stopping the hand of the maid who was combing, Manuela ran to Ponya.

“Huh. I'm gonna miss you.”

While crying and trying to be hugged, Ponia stepped back. I knew it was blunt, but when it came out like this, I felt sad.

“You should not go to the warehouse.”

“Why is that?”

“There is dirt on your clothes.”

It was the attendant to the owner who spit out words that fluttered with expressionlessness.

“But I don't sleep once."

“If you know, you wouldn’t like it very much.”

“What the hell does she care?”

A man's voice popped out of the room where there were only women.

“There is quite a correlation.”

All of the women in the room turned to the door and prepared themselves. Among the women who got up after bending the knees slightly, only Manuela was raising her head. Carl leaned at the door and secretly glanced, and then she shook her head. As the maids raised their heads, Carl, who held back laughter, returned with a stern face.

“Would everyone please leave their seats for a while? I have something to share with Ms. Karina.”

“My Majesty, this is a pretense, but the lady now…… ”

One of the duke's maids shuddered. Manuela was dressed in a negligee and was a dress that could only be shown between a couple. It was just a good situation to get into trouble.

“I have free imagination, but unfortunately, I have no intention of having a conversation. I don't have the confidence to put your pretty girl in front of me and end it short.”

The faces of the young maids turned red like ripe blushes in their blatant speech.

‘Eg money! Sadly, what the hell is this?’

Manuela barely held back laughter because it seemed to be written on her face.

“If you come in a little late, well, it might be different.”

Eventually, Ponya, who was less than it was, began to intervene as if they were blame.

“Your Majesty, it's been a lot of time already."

“It only takes a minute. Let me say goodbye.”

The last words were so eloquent enough to move the hearts of the maids. You and I, too, slipped away like an ebb tide, and soon only two were left in the room. Before closing the door, Carl spoke to the maids waiting in the hallway.

“It's okay to talk about what you saw today. It's better if you spread it as wide as you can. In particular, tell the host adult that the poor Archduke is going to suffer from a serious illness because of the young lady.”

They couldn't find the astonished young lady behind the scenes because they were concentrating on the grand duke's pure love. The door was closed as it was.

“Should I do that?”

“Karina needs to be a little more famous. It's a bride that everyone covets.”

“It’s enough already. No man doesn't want Karina.”

“I haven’t got the emperor’s heart yet, so it’s invalid.”

Just thinking about it, my head was sore, Manuela turned the buzz around.

“What did Ponia say earlier? Didn’t you even let him hug?”

“Do most of it with me. Because they are good for each other.”

“It's only good for you.”

“Did you notice?”

Carl shrugged with a shameless face. Manuela sat in front of the dressing table and even brushed her hair. Perhaps thanks to the maid combing it every day, Karina's golden hair was soft and shiny like silk. The dimension was different from her rough hair, which was tangled whenever there was a gap. In the mirror, the face of the woman she had always envy was reflected. After that, I saw a Carl approaching. A long finger landed on her shoulder as it spread. The eyes of two men and women met in the mirror.

“I was more attracted to the one who became the grand prize. I'm sorry.”

“Are you not there? I guess the conditions are too difficult.”

“I just need a little time.”

Even in the provocation, Carl looked confident. Manuela quickly became unwelcome. He shook his head as he looked at his face reflected in the mirror with his thin eyes. Herssen's soil freezes easily and is barren, so planting seedlings will wither in half a day. In fact, it was close to the air.

“It just means that it would have been more fun for us to be a couple.”

“If it becomes a grand public defense, he will not let it go.”

“If you give birth to one child, I will send you.”

“……The one who hit me before is annoying again?”

“I'm kidding."

As Manuela growled, he stepped back slightly, making a gesture of surrender.

“I'm afraid you'll regret it. It's revenge that may take his life, but the conditions are too easy than I thought.”

“I'm glad it was easy. I'll look forward to it.”

“In the meantime, don’t go anywhere and stay quiet.”

Manuela, whose feet were numb, smiled as naturally as possible. I thought about the hidden intention again. No matter how much I thought about it, it was okay to see her as a light warning rather than noticing her stubbornness.

“I'll be there soon.”

It is the puppy who sits and waits until the owner comes. It's a bird's instinct to go out of the cage. Manuela nodded with a smile on her lips. A bird, longing for freedom, was about to soar from the breach of his owner's carelessness.

“Okay. Hurry up before you get bored.”

As soon as I step out of the window, I promise I will never come back.

* * *

“Are you going on a trip at this point?”

“Yes, father.”

Jude doubted my ears. She was a child who had never gone outside the empire to block unnecessary scandals in advance. His daughter, who only played within the boundaries he had set, made an unexpected declaration.

“I heard your work well. He's going to die without you, maybe?”

Look at these guys. Manuela almost spewed the tea she had been drinking. When these cute maids were embarrassed, it seemed that they had done their job at any time.

“How to cool off if you don’t see the feelings that have been afflicted right in front of your eyes. Are you going to ruin the finished painting?”

“I am also posting this because I have my own strategy.”

“Let’s see where we can listen.”

It was clear that he was very displeased with his daughter because he had a bad chin posture.

“I'm only going to shed a glimpse of my entourage about going on a trip to Archetia as a nursing car.”

“There is no family that wants to make a sickly woman the hostess. When such rumors come out.......”

“But I'm not going to tell the Grand Duchy where I'm going.”

“What else is that talking about?”

“If you want to see me, you will find out by asking. If you can't control your heart toward me, you will come to Archetia.”

“Then what if you give up leveraging?”

“If your charge doesn't feel that much to me, you should throw this card away.”

Jude had already reconsidered several aristocrats, including the emperor, as son-in-law. Throwing away the Grand Duke's card right now is a waste of imagination, so he jumped.

“That’s no way!”

“Imagine. It is a flower that follows and picks across the sea. If you are serious, it will be an opportunity to become more anxious. Because men are more attracted to the flowers they have won.”

From comparing women to flowers to treating them like spoils. It was one of the sophistries that Manuela hated. However, it was enough to capture Jude's heart with old ideas.

“You’re my only daughter!”

A bait that brings the son-in-law to the family to replace his son. Karina was raised that way. One older brother on the top and one younger brother on the bottom died of sickness while in infants. Karina was the Emerald family's last remaining hope.

“So when are you going to leave?”

“Tomorrow.”

Once you go to Archetia, you start with drugs that change your face. If so, it was only a temporary effect, so I planned to live in seclusion while studying other methods. . . . Everything was perfect. Until the next morning, an uninvited guest came to the duke's residence.

“It's noisy down there. Has the wagon arrived already?"

Manuela rubbed her half-closed eyes and asked the maid waiting for clothes. The other maids were humming and preparing to leave, excited about the trip.

“It looks like a guest is here.”

“At such an early hour?”

It's not even time for lunch yet. Manuela just got up early because it was leaving on time for the boat. It wasn't time for anyone to visit.

“Isn’t that good news anyway?”

Her voice was even higher than the other maids.

“Good news?”

“The proposal letter.”

As soon as I heard it, it was a word that became lame, but Manuela laughed.

“Where will the proposal come in in front of me for a day or two?”

“This time, you brought it yourself, so the case is different.”

“There were many cases where I brought my own and couldn't see my face and was beaten by my father.”

It was the story that Karina was proud of. I didn't know I would use it this way. The maid was excited and chattered like a bird.

“But it’s not that different since you’re telling everyone? When I saw that I went straight to the reception room without being challenged.”

“……Do you want to warn the grand air?”

“Wouldn’t it be obvious to see you came from early in the morning? I must have missed her so much......”

Even before her words were over, Manuela ran out of the room. I didn't even know in my dreams that he would be such a sophisticated man. In the corridor running, she heard the sound of the pipe organ of joy, welcoming the great war. It was a hallucination that will soon return to reality. Without knocking, the door of the parlor opened. Across from Jude, I saw the protagonist in trouble drinking tea. Jude had just opened the envelope.

“Karina, what is this now…...”

The manners of a quiet woman, and this is also the judge's version. Manuela snatched the envelope from his hand. The seal of the Vasily family was stamped on the red wax.

“Please forgive the rudeness of the food, Majesty. Since I was a daughter who grew up Ban Ok-yup, I tend to be selfish. Still, it is not a child without a case......”

“I guess Youngae has something to tell me. Could you take the ball away for a while?”

I was worried that I would have been offended, but Carl looked rather enjoyable. Jude left the room without asking any more. As soon as the Duke was away, Manuela removed the seal and took out the contents. It was a proposal letter.

“Will it really come out like this?”

“Why are you thinking about running away because you need to be quiet?”

“Who is running away…....”

“I can't hear you well, why don't you speak a little louder?”

As he replied with a creeping voice, Carl struck me disgustingly.

“Did you not know I was coming? What am I so surprised by?”

“It’s because you come suddenly.”

“You said you'd be coming soon. Even if you see it like this, you must be careful to spit it out once.”

You came here to keep that word? Manuela wrote her arrogance and gave her final remorse.

“If you can’t fulfill the conditions properly and you are going to force me to hold you, just give up now.”

“Who says you can't?”

“Then you mean that's possible?”

“The proposal is an excuse and I came to fulfill the terms.”

* * *

It was hypothetical to speak with conviction, so Manuela couldn't clear his doubts even though he followed. It was strange that the person who wanted to go to Herssen took a ferry. The place I arrived before the boatman's second song was finished was a small island of about 5 acres (* about 6,120 pyeong). As soon as I got off the boat, an endless feast of purple unfolded on the ground. The entire island was filled with lacrocia.

“How do you like it?”

“The promise is different. I must be in Herssen...… ”

“This is also Herssen, now. I bought it.”

“What?”

It was an unforeseen development for Manuela. I didn't expect Carl to do it this way.

“The Count Bourbon went bankrupt and went on auction. There are a lot of writers who covet it as a resort, so I broke my money.”

“Buy an island to show you a flower garden?”

Manuela has never seen such a waste of money in her life.

“It's a proposal gift for revenge comrades.”

Carl hung a long mouth and smiled deeply.

Manuela closed her lips with a smile while trying to nag. On an island full of lacrosia, the two, young men and women committed revenge, not love.

“Now we have a boat.”

“Okay.”

“From this moment on, you are always with me.”

It was a terribly sweet determination. * * * Manuela arrived at the duke's residence with a beautiful bouquet of lacrocia. The maids screamed and greeted the owner who was in love. It seems that there is no need to correct it, leaving the girls who spread the delusion. Manuela lay on the bed as soon as the maids took off her clothes. It was a really tiring day.

‘I'm getting revenge.’

As I thought of the tiring days to come, my eyes became dark. For today, I just wanted to sleep without thinking. It might be the last day I could stretch out and sleep. The maid said excitedly to Manuela who went into the blanket.

“Mister, can I put it here?”

She was holding lacrocia in a vase at which point she prepared.

“Please do that.”

“It is clear that the Grand Duchy really loves you.”

“What else does that mean?”

It was a sound that I did not know the reality of Carl. Another lamb fell to his greasy appearance. Manuela kicked her tongue out in a regretful heart.

“You gave me a lacrocia.”

“What is that algebra.”

“It's not common as a flower given to a lover.”

When the owner didn't respond much, the maid spoke with a child.

“You say there is a country called heaven in the east continent?”

Even Manuel has heard of it. It was an emerging country founded by nomads in the north of the eastern continent across the sea. Since it was gradually expanding its power, the Ecuadorian kingdom in the south was suffering. The two countries were in a tense relationship that would not be strange if a war broke out.

“By the way?”

“There they say this flower is called hydrangea.”

“Okay?"

“In addition to purple, there is also pure white, there is pink, and there are various colors.”

That was pretty engaging information. Lacrocia of different colors. I missed it once before I died.

“That's why they said that each color has a different language.”

“Because this is purple, it wouldn't mean that much in Heaven.”

I heard it, but I guessed it would mean depressing even there.

“Well, that's what you mean…...”

The maid said shyly, covering my reddish cheeks with both hands.

“Oh, saying this with my mouth. I feel like Eros, the god of love.”

“I'll wait and breathe. hurry."

“The flower language of purple hydrangea is true. Isn't this flower containing your majesty's passionate sincerity?”

In an unexpected sense, Manuela took a breath. I was wondering what the man really meant.

‘Will the day when you regret the choice that held your hand today?’

Carl was aiming to held the position as her husband, who once she loved more than her life. I had a feeling that it would be a much more dangerous relationship than I was prepared for. If I hadn't met these two guys that day three years ago. Maybe her life went as she dreamed. It was a night where resentment for irreversible time was carried in the moonlight.

[T/N: I'm really sorry for bad translation guys but I really try my best. I even fix some words that really difficult to understand but as what I have said before, I'm not an expert. (TT)]
